You can write it off as “political correctness” if you wish, but the truth is that privilege always lies with the majority. They’re so used to being catered to that they see the lack of catering as an imbalance.

A lot of people have taken to putting notices on their social media profiles that threaten legal action if said profile’s information is mined for content without permission. We’re concerned with these warnings because they give users the impression that putting these up somehow protects them. They do not.
We believe in personal choice and freedom. Whatever value Phillip Shoemaker finds in these connections is for him to judge. He has a job with Apple to maintain the products they offer free of pornography, but that doesn’t mean the man shouldn’t be able to enjoy whatever he likes in his personal life.
