Kickstarter Allows Skin Biz to Use It — As Long As It’s Art
The Adult Trading Card Company, who last year brought you the rather lolsy porn-meets-Dungeons and Dragons-sorta-kinda moment with their Fantasy Series cards, is upping the ante this coming year with a coffee table book called Naked In Nature showcasing the day’s hottest porn stars, posed naked in the wild. It’s like Earth Porn, only with naked porn stars lounging in the beauty of the natural world!
To make it happen, Adult Trading Card Company (ATCC) has launched a campaign on the popular crowd-funding site Kickstarter. As you may recall, Kickstarter isn’t very fond of adult content — they feel so strongly about it that they lump it right next to hate speech and political mudslinging in their terms of use! To make sure they don’t get yanked off the platform, ATCC is playing it extremely safe, calling porn stars “internationally known models and performers.”
“This campaign is to fund a new round of location shots to assemble the first of a series of photography books,” the Kickstarter page explains. “All content for this upcoming project will be created once the campaign is complete.”
The team is looking to raise $16,500 in order to get a photographer and “internationally known models” out into the great outdoors. Currently, this roster includes Teagan Presley, Rachel Starr, Stormy Daniels, Brooklyn Chase, Kendra Lust, and Jacky Joy. Porn giant Adam & Eve‘s director Joshua — who goes by his first name only, like Madonna — will be shooting.
“It’s not often anyone from our industry gets approval from Kickstarter for a campaign, and we’re going to make sure we’re putting out a first-tier product,” Casper Curtis, director of operations at ATCC, told adult industry news site XBIZ. No word as to why ATCC chose Kickstarter over the porn-friendly crowd-funding platform Offbeatr.
