Directors Hate Sex Scenes

The Sexy Beast is right to put Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis at the top of their list of hottest lesbian scenes in film — the scene between them in Black Swan really is something to talk about.

Not as hot as, say, Gia, but you’d have to be crazy to watch Gia for the sex given the subject matter. We won’t ruin it for you. Go Netflix it. Anyway, guess who wasn’t crazy about this scene?

Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky. According to a piece in The Hollywood Reporter, the Directors Guild of American award nominee found the scene so awkward to shoot, he rushed through it in half a day, instead of spending the two previously-scheduled days for it.

At least The Fighter‘s director David O. Russell had a legitimate reason for hating the sex scene in that movie: the people involved were so hot and all he got to do was watch.
