Urban Dictionary Announces 2010 Word of the Year

Urban Dictionary, a crowd-sourcing site that provides the web with definitions to commonly and not-so-commonly used slang and expressions, has selected its word of the year. Or, more accurately, its expression of the year.

Gate Rape: n. Passing through a security gate at an American airport, which requires either a full-body scan where T.S.A. guards ogle your naked body or an “enhanced” pat down where T.S.A. guards molest you. The T.S.A. is required by law to make the process as humiliating and abusive as possible.
